Some things grow and thrive in cold weather

Despite the cold rainy/snowy weather we've been having here in Wisconsin some things continue to grow and thrive. I noticed this fungus (may be Dacrymyces palmatus) growing on a stump my neighbor has in their yard. It was so bright it was hard not to notice it. Up close it almost looks like something from the deep blue sea.

Jen, I got your email today. Send me the email that you use all the time and I'll try to help. I use the templates from this site:

http://www.ourblogtemplates.com/

although there are others out there. I have realized that the standard Blogger templates just don't have the appeal that some of these have. Also, there is more room for other content on these templates.

There is a template I used for a while called "photographer". The one I use now is called "writer's blog" and on my new woodworking blog, I use one called "newspaper." The newspaper one has more room for both posts and sidebar content because there is not all the blank unused space that is common with Blogger templates. I also like the graphic design of these templates.

One of the coolest templates I have run across is here:

http://www.deluxetemplates.net/2009/07/extreme-georgia-blogger-templates.html

Called, Extreme Georgia, it has a lot of nicely designed graphic elements, however, I have not been able to change the colors to what I want, so I did not use it.

Just a thought.
