I have a Japanese Maple, which I jokingly call a burning bush because of its colour. I did it once in a blog posting, and the shubbery police were all over me!

Interesting that those got the most questions. All of them look lovely, by the way. I've had my eye on a tricolor beech for awhile and I'm hoping to add one soon.

Doesn't that pea shrub get monsterous or am I thinking of something else?

I think you might be thinking of a different variety of pea shrub. The tri color beech received the most questions out of anything in the garden.

I used to have a overtowering japanese maple in my yard as a child, I loved it. Always hid under it, hahaha. Anyway, what really caught my eye was the tri colored beech. Do you have any more photos of that one?

I think the tri colored beech deserves a post of its own!
