First Daylily of the Season

The first daylily of the season has bloomed!  This one is 'Ruby Spider', it's a spider-type daylily.  Spider-type daylilies have petals that are four times longer then they are wide.

Beautiful flower. In fact all of Wisconsin is pretty nice. But you're right, you all need rain. It's so dry in some parts. I laughed a bit back home visiting people. Your hostas are everywhere....even the Captain Kirk variety!!! I went to the Green Bay Botanical Garden for the first time and was impressed. It's such a beautiful place!!! Hope you will enjoy some vacation and summer from school. I have a list and I'm hoping to get it all done:)

How long are you in Wisconsin? I think we are back either the 24th or 25th.
